New AWPer Chapter

CSCentral has posted up a new chapter in the on going saga, Heart Of An AWPer. This time it takes place on the map cs_office, and like usual, it's a damned (potty mouth!) good read if I do say so myself. Of course, we have to give you a little preview to get your salivary glands in high gear.

Pausing for a moment, the recruit snapped his rifle up to his eye and surveyed the complex below. Three cars were burning, black smoke from burning petrol billowing forth. The front doors of the dam office were blown apart, and a few bodies were scattered around them. Swinging his weapon back, the recruit slid down a dry gully and with the rest of his team reached the base of the slope. Running up to the complex, the team leader pointed to a fire escape ladder and held up 2 fingers, indicating that the second team would move through there to the upper office level. Motioning to a door directly ahead, the commander lead his team inside whilst the recruit and eleven other terrorists moved up the ladder.

Man... the whole story line is lame why even bother trying to correct his grammar

It was a good read actually... I mean it isn't Shakespeare, but it is entertaining.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't like it. I find it cheesy in a bad way. Don't get me wrong...I love cheese...cheese like Big Trouble in Little China. This however ....

I do have a couple of other issues with it. Like ...do you folks like it as writting or as writting about CS? Does it get a headline just cause it's about CS. The last issue is the writers statement. I'm prolly gonna misstate him but, he says something to the effect of "The recruit doesn't have a name cause anyone is capable of horrifying stufff blah blah blah giant PC disclaimer I'm writting about the horrors of war not reveling in them". After reading it it was like .....hmmmm dude your reveling.

how is this story lame? how is he revealing the nationality, race, or any distinguishing characteristic about the recruit?

Heart of an AWPer sucks is my opinion. But hey, writing stories is better than playing brainless crap such as Counter-Strike anyway. Keep up the good work, I won't read it! :)

I think you guys are being excessivly critical. If you don't like it, don't read it. I like the story, and writing a few hundred works every week to keep gamers entertained isn't easy. Give the man some credit, he obiously has a passion for fiction and CS. And this is how it comes out, a reasonably high quality story that is entertaining and creative. I give him my 2 thumbs up just for the effort.

I didn't really enjoy this story. The mood is sort of killed when the author makes logical errors...or does a poor job proofreading.

I haven't read a CS story since Herman Chambers, and don't intend to until Herman Chambers returns. I MUST KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!!!
