Midway and the gang from GotFrag are at it again. This time, they've written up an excellent CAL-i Mid-Season Report. It takes a look at division standings so far, and has a paragraph summing up each clan's performance. It's a fairly good read, but fairly long. Pretty good, but a bit dated and just not quite as nice to use as it could be.
The modelling... well, you've probably all seen this model before. It's been around for as long as I can remember (though not always in match form, I think). It's basically pretty damn good, or at least it is by the standards of it's time. There's nothing to really complain about modelling-wise. Well.. there is one thing. This thing is damn small. Now I know the Infinity isn't exactly a huge gun in real life, but this isn't real life and when I'm firign a gun in CS I like to look at it and think "wow, throwing this thing at someone would probably cause more pain then the bullets do". Sadly this model feels just too weak in-game for my liking.
The skins are again, pretty old yet still pretty good. They hark back to the good old days when people remembered what burn and dodge tools were for. The only gripe I have with them is that the 'gold' skin varients aren't exactly gold, more just silver with a burnt yellow overlay, but the effect of a black match and main bodgy with a gold-ish slide is pretty cool none-the-less. There's no real errors with the skin(s) really since the 'gold' problem is optional, and the only consistant gripe is the text on the side, which just doesn't suit my personal taste. But hey-ho, you can't please everyone, and I think I'll be able to live with it.
Animations are defaults - nothing to complain about there.
Overall this is a timeless model that everyone should try out. I think over the course of time I've used every single varient of this model at least once, and they're all good. This one is no exception. It's not quite perfect but you should still give it a go before anything else.Comment
