gobd... I have to wonder what kinds of scripts you're using that require that much echo functionality. Nothing I have really needs it. I use it for my volume adjustment scripts, but it's not like I couldn't just listen to the volume level instead of watching the visual display. So yeah, feel free to mention what it is that needs the echo functionality so badly. Maybe it could be easily redesigned.

Run/Walk toggle is a good example of when it is really nice to the text echo on the screen.

I use a buyscript that i made that has four different types of buying that you can toggle through and there is no way to tell what mode i am using without seeing the echoes.



Also, i use a sensitivity cycling script and i like to see the echoes that say what the sens is that i am using

Well I personally think that 1.6 is going to be a little bit more crazy now with the added weapons. About time something new has been added but doesnt it seem like steam is trying to make counter strike more like TFC.. i mean a tatical shield that can basically deflect everything in the game and now cs siege is a de map (good idea) but they have a sniper nest in their spawn.. once again making me think of TFC oh well i still think it will be lots of fun. And if your not catching on how this is slightly related to TFC if you have ever played 2fort for tfc..and if you havent youve never played TFC caue that is the most played map..just camping and sniping. then crazy ass HW guys with the awesome gun ..famas basically with the crazy firing abilities. and the Galil too powerful and makes the ak completly useless. riot shield..is just retarded and seems like it would belong in tfc cause of how the game is played with consistant rushing and the one player with the main advantage.. oh well i guess im full of crap but its just my opinion

Erm... cs_siege is still cs_siege, complete with it's 4 hostages and no bomb site or sniper nest...
