Yea, I am not too anxious, so I am just waiting for a final release.

Even though they say Steam is avaliable only to fileshack mercury, there are still plenty of sites who offer leaked version of Steam. To be honest, I decided to try that one. And, for SOME reason, it works great. I am now playing CS 1.6 and it's pretty fun in my opinion.
I used both FAMAS and Galil and for FAMAS, it was exactly what I hoped. But for Galil, I think it's a little too good for $2000. (I call it a 'cheapo rifle' =) ) The riot shield is all around much what I expected. You can still get killed if they shoot you through the window. (I don't know if that's a penetration bug)
Overall, good. But I feel somewhat guilty about this.Comment

So, the general idea I'm getting from this is if I wanted to play CS 1.6 right now, downloading an "official" release, and had not already downloaded Steam 2.0, I would have to go on to Fileshack, and not only sign up, but also PAY???
What the hell is this? An MMORPG?
And why is it that it is being released only on Fileshack? Why not just a flat out official release?
This seems completely unfair, and biased against the poor/cheap-ass part of the CS community that I am so proudly a part of.
...
I guess I'll just have to keep on waiting... not like I haven't done enough of that already...Comment

And your opinion sucked, jackass. Don't act like you were playing it cool when you launched into a completely ill-thought rant, wondering when developers are going to start suing people for something they're not doing.
Oh hisss hisss, I can see somebodies panties got in a fuckin twist......somebody needs to cool it, and its not me. I was just posting my opinion.Shadow-Dragon wrote..
Yeah. Why don't you post a few more times on an internet comments section so we can see how butch you are?
lol I can't believe you guys are arguing over fileshack. Geeks are pathetic.Saitoh Hajime wrote..
STEAM was officially released, as far as i'm concerned. Finding the installer was child's play. Anyone that had 2 braincells to rub together got the file a long time ago, so it's your own god damned fault if you wanted it so badly but decided to not get it before now.

Beyond that, people are still so wrapped up in their CS-centric stupidity to realize that you are not paying to download STEAM, should you subscribe to mercury. You are paying for mercury itself, and all that comes with it. If all you want is STEAM, then YES, GENIUS, a mercury account is naturally not going to be a worthwhile purchase for you.Comment
