narby wrote..I do that... I guess it's out of boredom. Other times its checking for full ammo. It's just something I automatically do. As long as it doesn't effect my skill/fun, I don't see why it matters.
While i'm in a mindless ranting mood, what the hell is with these people who change weapons every 8 seconds. I'm sorry but what is that? An overdose of ritalin?
I watched one guy do this yesterday evening. In the space of one minute he changed weapons 25 times.
Am I the only one who's noticed this? Why do you need to switch so many times?
Perhaps i'm an asshat.

AWP: cheap (not in the money sense) but it gets the job done.
Until it get's removed, I'm going to carry on using it (especially in clan matches). You can't argue it isn't effective; like you said, narby, it can take out an entire team, so in a clan match I'm not going to do the "honourable" thing and use the scout and so thereby lessening the chance of my team winning.
Public servers, though, are a different kettle of tuna. There's no doubt that there is a lot more fun to be had with the challenge of doing well with the scout rather than the AWP.
However, I personally don't give a toss if people are AWP whoring. The way I see it is: if they're skill-less newbies then it's easy to avoid them; and if they're really good then, well... they deserved the kill.Comment

Maybe the cs team won't/can't do it but if the cs retro team did it, or someone else made a similar variant of cs but with a new scoreboard then the success/failure could affect CS2...
i still say petition or a new scoreboard that counts hostages rescued and bombs planted/defused FOR THE WHOLE TEAM not by person -_^
Just a thought. That mailbag messed with my head since I read it at 3am.Comment

Ah yes, the very same "Steal anything that isn't nailed down" attitude that makes the clan scene overflow with sportsmanship and good-natured fun. I wouldn't have pegged you to be so dumb as to rely on airheaded modmakers to tell you what's decent or not.

If Goose made each para bullet as strong as the AWP and gave back its b2 accuracy, would you be so unscrupulous as to use that too? Or, how about the old cheater argument of "Well, it's Valve's fault for not fixing the aimbot i use"? What's the point of having a friendly race and then winning it by yanking out your opponents battery? Sure, you won, but was it a test of skill?
Cheap is cheap. Cheap is also, coincidentally, NOT FUN. CS matches aren't like real life CT operations, where living takes precedence over fairness and common decency toward the people you're playing with and against, and it's time more people realized that. People who think about it like you do put so much importance on winning that they actually end up making it worthless. The pretense of winning only goes so far. However, I personally don't give a toss if people are AWP whoring. The way I see it is: if they're skill-less newbies then it's easy to avoid them; and if they're really good then, well... they deserved the kill.
Yeah, kinda like how every single full-auto headshot is 100% earned these days? You're obviously mistaking CS for another game.Comment
