    ScrimSearch BETA Released

ScrimSearch is the first ever utility for finding a scrimmage efficiently with ease. Instead of viewing through hundreds and hundreds of lines of text with IRC to find a scrim, ScrimSearch organizes said posts by filtering out criteria that you choose. Although merely a BETA release with additional features to come, check out what ScrimSearch has to offer.

About a year ago I had thought about trying to make a web-based version of this, but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I was even considering talking to rizzuh to get help coding it. :o

If they can get enough people to use it, it could be very nice. The only problem is, there might not be enough people on for it to be worthwhile.

Actually you're wrong, Scrimsearch TIES in directly with IRC, as in it sniffs out scrims from #findscrim too, you can get scrims with people that are only using MIRC as well. Its a really open ended program and it looks to be written perfectly. Its got a few bugs, but thats certainly expected in a BETA, These guys did a great job! I'm looking forward to some updates.

I've found and continue to find it humorous that whenever someone mentions a mistake in the post, the CSN team becomes extremely defensive.

I know you guys might not take your job seriously, but, to the best of my knowledge, thousands of people are reading your news posts. You could at least take the time to click each link before submitting it (it should take less than 30 seconds) to ensure that the post is accurate. A simple spell check wouldn't hurt, either.

I know you guys work hard and don't like being criticized in the comments, but please, correct grammar, spelling and linking is not that much to ask.

We are happy to accept feedback from users pointing out grammatical or factual mistakes. A simple "The second link isn't working" would suffice. But most users have to mix in spite with their feedback. The news team gets sick and tired of the disrespect and sass. There is a world of difference between "What does rediculous mean?!" and "Ridiculous is misspelled."

We're a fan-site, not CNN. News posts are looked over by an editor after they are posted, not before. We don't have the resources or time to verify every little thing, so mistakes do happen, despite carefulness and spell-check.

Steel... these mistakes are always minor in nature. More often than not, we catch these errors before too long. And it's not like we're planting trojans in these news-posts or making them explode your computer.

We get defensive because every single time something goes wrong it's "OMG ERROR ERROR ERROR!!! IT'S THEY'RE NOT THIER!!!" or some other smart-ass comment.

What does "abotu" mean? Why does your question not end with a question mark? Why did you fail to capitalize the "i" in the parenthesis? How do you like it?
