CS-CTF

[CSN NewsBot]

DaveJ informed us that CS-CTF Alpha 4 has been released over on Planet Half-Life. CS-CTF combines the damage and controls of Counter-Strike with the objective of capturing the enemy's flag. Each server can define its own flag points. The mod of a mod only works on Windows servers and is functional by updating your gamedll line in liblist.gam. Here's what the version features:

• ability to create and save custom ctf layouts for any map.
  
  
• full customisability of features, including in game messages.
  
  
• optional classic ctf grapplehook.
  
  
• ability to disable counterstrikes own missions during ctf play.
  
  
• option to allow players to respawn after death.
  
  
• cash prize for players that capture the flag.

You can grab it right here. There's no website up at the moment, so you'll have to test it out yourself.

This sounds really cool, and I'd like to try it.



UM... is that a link to the SERVER install? It looks like this is a server side mod to me. I don't want to install this until a few things are confirmed:



(1) there is at least 1 CS CTF server that I can play it on

(2) I absolutely need this file to play CS CTF

(3) it will NOT be flagged as a cheat by VAC

i dont think you need to download anything in order to play it, only if you want to setup a server. not a clue if there are any servers up OR how you'd find them.

searched with gametiger, no servers up with cs-ctf or cs ctf in their names :/ i'd wack one up, but i dont think my isdn could cope very well

Hmm - CTF = TFC. Why change CS (retro et al). Just my 2 cents
