The World Cyber Game competitions are coming to the US, by way of CompUSA's GameFIXX gaming sales division. There will be CS qualifiers in the US at the following locations/dates:

• pleasanton, calif. on september 14 and 15
  
  
• lewisville, texas on september 21 and 22
  
  
• southlake, ga. on september 28 and 29

The winning teams will fly to Korea for the championships. Expect the Texas event to be quite fierce; many of Counter-Strike's best pro players live in the state. You can register at the US WCG site. There is a limit of 64 CS teams per qualifier.



Update: Barricade corrected me: "The top 2 teams from those qualifiers go to the championships in New York in October. The winner of the New York qualifier is team USA." Apologies to the WCG for this mistake.

Everyone and their gran seems to be going to the UK qualifiers.



And if it wasn't for the fact the qualifiers are all on the exact same day that I go to Uni, I would have gone to watch too.
