    Domain of Pain: Dead?

Domain of Pain has been through it's ups and downs over the years. From placing 1st in CAL-invite to 4th place at last summer's CPL, DoP has always been among the elite. It was only recently that things have really gone downhill. Roster changeups and undedicated players left DoP being a shell of their former self. Unfortunately, good clans rarely retire on top and with grace -- it's only when things go downhill that teams end their domination.

Tonight Monday, February 24th, marks the death of Domain of Pain. Domain of Pain was one of the first competitive CS clans, and website Domain of Games was originally - you guessed it - Domain of Pain. The Domain of Games league which eventually formed into CAL and CAL-invite was begun with Domain of Pain. After a heartbreaking loss to Team c[h]ikara who was 1-13 in the league tonight, DoP decided to call it quits tonight. All DoP seedings have become null for the CPL so there is little chance of DoP being resurrected.

DoP, we will miss you. You were constantly switching up your team so we never knew thee too well, but rest assured you were always among the elite.

Update by rizzuh: sniperxx pulled a prank that involved rs merging with DoP. DoP is dead and is staying that way. Their CAL-i and CPL records won't mean anything for CPL seeding and CAL division placement if the clan is ever reformed.

Wow, they've been with the community for so long. Never the same faces, but always the same name.

I can't believe that the next CPL will be without DoP.

*cracks open beers and begins to celibrate*

I wait for the day when playing CS for cash ends and people can once again play for the love of the game and nothing more.

I hacked up the news post because it was all a joke on sniper's part in the revival. What an ass.

Bummer. :-\ Sort of one of those teams you're always kind of rooting for, even if they never took it all the way.
