          Are you joking boneless?

The shield is still full of bugs(after how many times they"fixed" it?), the models shoot through the genitals, hitboxes are still off, the models are still turned 45 degrees but shoot at you.... the list goes on and on

But I do believe http://beta.microsoft.com would be a legit URL to post if people are interested in getting on the SP2 bandwagon? I just re-read the forum rules and believe this to be "not breaking the rules"

what did i tell u the other the day, same old story

                'valve release update'

everything screws up, a few days later valve realise they have screwed up.

so valve release another update 2 correct the previous update.

                watch it happens everytime!
What the hell are u talking about? the new release didnt bring about any new bugs other than a bunch of lag that was caused by bandwidth shortages. The bugs people experienced were ones that were always there but nobody ever noticed until they were showing up due to the lag. The only time they release updates to fix a previous one is for VAC when a cheat detection is false, in which case they only revert back and do not release an update to fix it.

Tell me, other than the slow service, what was screwed up?

Every time an update is released for any major game there are a bunch of people who complain and are impatient while the update is being distributed. Valve didn't do anything to the game a few days later because they didn't need to. All they did was send out a message to places like CSNation to let the morons know that the reason for the delays was due to lack of bandwidth.

Unfortunately, lack of bandwidth is something that didn't happen as often without steam because people would host the update once they downloaded it, but most of us still only had to wait a day at the most to get back into our games.

Very true. I got the latest build as soon as MS mailled me about it, and roflmao the 'security center' loler what a hack of mcafee/norton :o It sucks too, see how much cpu/ram it takes up? It and all of the other random apps SP2 brings :/

Maybe they're going to fix the bug where offline mode keep trying to connect to the net in SP games :\
thats not a bug thats obviously caused by bandwidth issues :/

There was a bug with the last update that reset a lot of peoples connection settings to modem, so they are experiencing a lot of lag. I assume thats what will be fixed in the next update:

Friends has never been really stable, so it's not like that's anything new.

Control Panel - Mouse - Pointer Options - Uncheck "Enhance pointer precision"

That typically makes XP feel a lot more like previous OS's. Personally, though, I decided to just get used to it, and I kind of like it now (I no longer use dual sensitivities).

Any bugs with offline play aren't things they broke from previous versions, which was the idea being offered previously. Rather, they're flaws in new features, which I think almost all of us expected there to be. It's a new feature, and if you're not happy with it yet, just pretend they haven't added it yet, and don't use it until they fix the bugs.

Cheezy Peteza, *thank you* for posting the link to the fix for Steam's new 'mystery lag' feature. My rate was jumping from the usual 20-30 to well over 600, making the game completely unplayable.

I knew someone on the forums here would have the answer. Thanks guys.
