NewBits: CAL-i Playoffs, New Tournies, CS Grounds

    Your tradition CAL-i day NewsBits.
    • cal-i playoffs begin tonight. i'll be following ascension vs. aox myself, since i'm a big fan of a* for some reason. at the time of this writing, gotfrag doesn't have coverage up, but i'm sure they'll be posting cool stuff later in the day. either way, you can find the round 1 brackets right here. there won't be any public hltv, but there will be hltv demos.

    • i know many of you missed this in the rush and jumble of yesterday, so i am here to report that wzgl is running a new 2 vs. 2 tournament. prizes include $$$! in related news, the first egamers tourney is accepting sign-ups as well, but it looks like a 5 vs. 5 tournament.

    • cs grounds is the latest cs fansite to open its doors. they don't have too much yet, but be sure to go visit their site and offer them support.

    • be sure to go grab cs-nation's calendar for march, 2003 drawn by threeboy if you missed it.
I take comfort in the image that CNN.com loves so much.

They should run pub HLTV, but not on 2702* ports, others aren't crashable.

You forgot "sure" in the last 'bit.

Too bad some fuckin hackers have to prevent us from watching HLTV cause of their little crash exploit...

CSGrounds is apparently run by a G who's down with the jive, werd.

Apparently they need an editor for the site. No, there's no request for one, but they really do need one. :) Preferably someone who knows the English language. Ah well, they're really new, so I won't criticize too harshly until they've had time to get on their feet. Honestly, though, correct English spelling and such is essential to seeming like a respectable site, so hopefully they'll work on that.
