Because they are tired and un prepared. They don't really put much effort in to CAL-i.

CAL-i Playoff Results

Matches are over! Predictions were posted earlier in the day and all were right. WEW proved to its rival, GX, that patterns are meant to be broken, while zEx and TEC defeated their wildcard opponents. Team 3D will face off with Ascension (interviewed last week) this Sunday.



zEx -over- Green Berets :: 16-14 in overtime

Looks like the Green Berets really pulled it together and gave zEx a tough game. I applaud GB for pushing zEx to the limit when GB was the obvious underdog.



TEC -over- BiO :: 14-10

A close game it looks like, but the favorites pulled through and TEC will head to the semi-finals of the playoffs.

GX left before the match was played to completion. As predicted, WEW won the required 13 rounds that defines victory.

Ascension -over- aoX :: 19-16 (Double Overtime)

Looks like this match proved to be a lot closer than I predicted. Nuke is a pretty even map and while I thought for sure Ascension was stronger than aoX, they did surprise me. Still, no dice as Ascension moves to the quarter finals.



GB -over- TSG :: 16-8

Unfortunately TSG's playoff run ends first round. I think everyone was rooting TSG as they were finally playing great after many many seasons of CAL-i. Sorry to say but they dropped their game tonight. Well-played GB.



WEW -over- Pinnacle :: 13-2

As always, WEW triumphs when they need to, knocking Pinnacle out early. As I called it, I can see WEW being the force that will stop zEx, we'll just have to see what happens as the playoffs progress.



BiO -over- E7 :: 16-14 (Single Overtime)

Well like I said, this match was going to be interesting. I gave it to BiO by the skin of their teeth and they pulled through as somehow I felt they were going to be moving on.



This sets up the following matches:



zEx vs GB

tec vs BiO

GX vs WEW

3D vs Ascension

kind of poor on GX's part, but i guess when you make it that far undefeated then lose youd be a bit upset. still you should finish it imo
