HL Italia has posted a few interviews with famous mappers in the CS community. They've sat down with Narby (aztec, inferno), crinity (torn), DaveJ (dust, dust2) and Blazeeer (de_morningstar). The interviews aren't all that long, but they're all guaranteed to be somewhat interesting. Head on over to HL Italia for all the i'views. I'm out of time and have to leave, so insert your own comedic phrases here.

Mapper Interviews
STOMPED has concluded their 3 part interview with Gooseman and cliffe, but they're not done yet! They have interviewed Barney (Chris Auty), Chris Mair and Cadaver (Mike Rosser), all of whom are official CS mappers.
Fun for the whole family, so read it today!Stomped: What were your goals in creating your particular map for CS?
Rosser: With vegas, the primary intention was to create a defusion map where the objective is actually accomplished - as much fun as a lot of the other bomb maps are, how many times do you actually see the bomb planted? That was something that sort of irritated me - the actual "mission" was more often than not sidelined in favour of fighting over other chokepoints. I wanted to create a map where the terrorists would be able to plant the bomb regularly, leading to tense fights as they guard the bomb while the CTs rush to defuse it. Incidentally, the vegas "theme" only came later, originally it was a hotel complex - just to placate my detractors who claim that it's just eye-candy over substance. I think I achieved my goal, in that in my experience vegas is one of the more balanced CS maps......but as the popularity of assault et al shows, the general public don't always go for balanced maps. It's always a bit of a lottery as to how maps go down with the CS-playing community though, I'm sure DaveJ never expected the sort of monumental succes he's had with dust. I'm personally just happy to have my map in the official release, having my map become popular would just be a nice added benefit ;-) -
What is I don't know, for 500?
I gave up halfway through DaveJ.. I think what really set me off was, hmm let me find the exact quote:Black Dog: is recent the new that CS:CZ won't be finished by Gearbox, personally I was shocked and angry to Gearbox reading just some days ago that was from August that the works where stopped
