My basterdized school has filters that block out CSN. I tried to get that changed, but all I did was get more game-related stuff blocked. Assholes. This is a gaming news site, never hurt anyone =/
Try typing http://%32%30%37%2E%33%38%2E%30%2E%34%30 next time you're at school and you will get to CSN past the filters, but none of the pictures will load and you won't be able to click any links. At least you will be able to see the front page news though :)

*edit* all that is is the IP of http://csnation.counter-strike.net converted to HEX code, that gets by the filters they have at our school, i'm not sure if it will work for you.

I'd just like to point out to everyone who isn't aware that (usually) trying to bypass filter software to gain access to a website that was intentionally blocked is almost always considered computer misuse. It is actually a criminal offence in many schools if you (or your parent) has signed a Computer Use document (from the Computer Misuse Act 1995 I think, in the UK at least) outlining various legal issues surrounding computer use and more recently, the internet. Schools and companies usually make people sign them so that they don't have to claim responsibility when someone in their jurisdiction uses their systems illegally.

And believe it or not, some schools HAVE used this act before to claim for damages from the parents of their own students, and Universities do on a regular basis.

Just a little disclaimer for you :)

Our school would gladly get me in big trouble for using that if they could find out :) The servers for out school are located in downtown and no one at the school can access them. The only people that can access them are the techies there and it takes weeks for them to anything after you call them, so by the time they check the logs have probably been deleted for being too old. I usually just make sure no one sees me go on sites that i shouldn't be at, that way they will never check my users logs because they don't have a reason too.

Oh yeah, the heaters/air conditioning of our school is controlled from those computers in downtown too, so if you want your room hotter you better call up the techies and wait 1 to 2 weeks for them to adjust the temp in your room :) lol

there is no possible way cs2 is coming out before CZ, even if it comes in 2003 (which it wont)

by the way this site has missed so many easter eggs its not even funny

Thank you. I will try tomorrow. I only have a comp at 1 of my houses (parents divorced), and it sucks only being able to check my favorite CS news site every other week.
