    well the first thing I would do is try to turn up your volume... or perhaps unplug your headphones if you wear headphones when you play CS... and in reply to Ghengis, you have a vaild point about desensitization, when I was making this movie and even after it was completed and after watching it over a hundred times while I was editing it, It became evident to me that when the three guys are playing themselves in CS64 and shooting eachother up, its not "REAL", its in their mind that they see themselves commiting the "video game violence", I dont know about you but when I play games, I picture myself as the person im playing. Like when I play Battlefield 1942, and Im up in the air having dogfights against someother guy in this massive world, It really IS me up there, and that I think is the power of online gaming, being able to do what you would NEVER be able to do in real life. So in a sense those guys playing CS on their 64 are essentially playing agaisnt themselves not just on the Television, but physically in each of their minds/imaginations.

      I was so surprised to hear "Acid Rain" as the background music for this movie! At first I thought, "Did Winamp just switch to that?" but I paused the movie and the music stopped. That was damn cool because most other movies would just put the latest nu-metal anthem in there. I worship Liquid Tension Experiment (1 and 2) along with Dream Theater. They're more talented than every single band out there in the mainstream.

        You like Liquid Tension Experiment and Dream Theater? Check out these progressive metal bands too, they kick ass:

        Blind Guardian

        Rage (only the Unity album, all the others suck)

        Rhapsody

        Symphony X*

        Treasure Land

        Vanden Plas*

        Zero Hour (if you like stuff that is harder)

        * - Highly, Highly recommended

          Well, I've already heard Symphony X and Rhapsody (Rhapsody is TOO cheesy for me sometimes, hehe) and I like SymX a lot- Michael Romeo is one SICK guitar player. But I'm really into the heavy stuff too- like Opeth, Arch Enemy, and In Flames. You definitely have to check out Opeth. They're a progressive death metal band; Mikael (vocalist)'s growling is really hard to listen to for first-timers but you eventually get used to it and learn to love it- at least I have, along with a bunch of other people I know. And their songs are so great- awesome riffs, great song structures, switching off between rip-your-face off playing to soft, melodic acoustic pieces, both of which are really complex at times. There are some jazz influences there too. Check em out and tell me what you think.

          PS. Download The Drapery Falls- the quintissential Opeth song IMO

                  I'd take music over Counter-Strike anyday, hehe.

                  Anyways, I think most people don't appreciate LTE because 1. It's instrumental and 2. It's too complex for some people. Certain people think that kind of music is just "too complicated" and get confused with everythin happening all at once (ahem, there are only three voices going on with the percussion along with it, geez). But a lot of people don't like Dream Theater and the like for the same reason; it's "too complex." Too complex my ass, go back to Linkin Park and Korn.

                      I love Steve Vai and Joe Satriani as well. I saw Satch and Dream Theater on their last US concert of the World Tourbulence 2002 tour in September- it was fricking amazing. Bootlegmania.net actually has two live videos of the "Instrumedley" and "The Spirit Carries On" from the concert I was at. The Instrumedley is one of the most insane showcases of technical prowness I've ever seen. But yes, Satriani and Vai are mind-blowing (I prefer Vai over Satch though). For the Love of God, Surrender your mind Tenderly to the Alien Water Kiss because There's a Fire in the House and the Audience is Listening!

                        dont forget john petrucci!!

                        one funny thing about LTE is that sometimes john starts to play so damn fast that it sounds like circus music lol. John petrucci kicks ass, along with vai and satriani, didnt those three go on a tour a while back?

                          Yup, those three toured on the G3 tour a while back. Anyways, of course I can't forget John Petrucci! Hell, he's my favorite guitarist out of all three of those guys! I don't own two Dream Theater t-shirts and a John Petrucci t-shirt for nothing!
