    PHPAdmin Released

PHPAdmin v1.0, developed by the folks at checkyour6.net, has been approved by the FDA for general consumption. What is PHPAdmin you may ask? Simply put, it's "a better way of maintaining a server administrator's ban list... to provide functionality and to make server administration an easier job." Here is a list of the features included in version 1.0:
    • the ability to tell which of your admins banned who.

    • temporarily banned players will no longer be unbanned when your server shuts down or crashes.

    • simplified manipulation of the server's ban list.
I'm no server guru but it sounds like this utility is definitely worth a look. You server admins out there can pick yourself up a copy of PHPAdmin or just get more information and a more detailed list of features here. According to CY6.net version 2 is in the works, but as of yet there is no release date.

I prefer configuring my servers by editing the CFG files. Yea.

by the way, the PHP group asked people not to name their scripts after the scripting language [in this case, don't put PHPMyScript].. but I guess i doesn't matter.

There's a million PHP scripts that do that. like NewsPHP, FusionPHP, phpBB. The list goes on.

Actually Rahan has a valid point - I thought this was PhpMyAdmin (a very useful Mysql database admin system) - and PhpAdmin sounds like something that edits your PHP setup , rather than some CS thing.

Really, name it into something that at least hints what it actually is, and makes some sense!

At least with some of the others, you have some clue as to what they do...
