Make a classic arcade style game in flash or shockwave and send your entries in to asspennies@counter-stirke.net, subject "ArcadeContest", by May 6th, 2003.
Someone has to make a flash game of that crazy finger in ass game.

Dear Lord I feel like a broken record. Been saying in the original article they posted that it's not gonna be on an arcade machine, just a bloody frickin LAN!

Hey riz: insulting people isn't funny anymore!
Whaa???? Thats what makes mailbags great! without the insults it becomes almost *serious*, and theyre no fun like that.

Only problem with constructing lifesize maps - very cool idea - is that, well, a lot of the tactical opportunity would be lost because you can't, for example, jump off a 10m bridge into knee deep water and not end up horribly misfigured.
Obviously, they would put some sort of saftey net or whatever beneath the dangerous spots. And you'd have to sign an agreement saying that the company that makes the life-size Aztec or whatever is not responsible if you die, are injured, or lag =)

My idea of an arcade style CS would be to make it small enough so it doesn't take up much room with a controller that has little buttons on it. I would charge monthly and/or annual fees (only credit cards accepted!) so that you could play against your friends. The money from it would go towards the super-wealthy.

                I would call it XBox.

ya know we COULD just make a foam box, use it as a bomb have some people go be the terrs and some ct's and stand in a large room with obstacles, we would use some guns that look (semi)-real but arent (for money you would have to buy or rent them earn money by goin to work), we could also use siblings and parents for hostages if needed ... we would need some way to determine if a player has been hit though ... paint maybe?

I don't mind general insults, made to a particular group of people. But when a certain person is singled out and made fun of, it kind of gets me a little upset. In my opinion, a funny, well executed joke is infinitely more pleasing than a blunt insult about acne or whatnot.

I mentioned Dust as an example of a life-sized map because that's one that came to mind of not having too many places you need to fall great heights, heh. Beyond that, with the whole Aztec idea, turning the river into a giant green squishy mat could work... hard to run on, granted, but it'd be a hell of a lot of fun. Well, until somebody jumped onto your head.

Obviously, a life-sized Vertigo is just plain out. :) Signing your life away would of course be pretty much necessary no matter what map you picked, but like anyone would hesitate.

NO light gun. After the first few times playing Time Crisis I nearly fainted of bordom. Let's keep it simple...why not a PC-type machine with a coin-slot? I mean, thats the only REAL effective way to play PC shooters...

Oh, and also, I thought there were "Arcade" CS. I call it a Internet Cafe....
