Half-Life 2 Hints

ShackNews has posted some interesting information that hints at the possibility of Half-Life 2 being previewed in next month's run of magazines. What's significant about this is that it probably means that Half-Life 2 will be featured at this year's E3 (along with TeamFortress 2, I assume). So, I guess you can sit on the edge of your seat waiting until the day where Half-Life 2 is previewed and you can actually being to sit nearer to the edge of your seat.



Counter-Strike 2 and TeamFortress 2 will both use the Half-Life 2 engine. Or maybe it's the other way around.

i hope the graphics rock, and the game makes as big of an impact as half life 1 has done. Just imagine the possibilities, its so exciting. New half life, new mods, new CS! I'm really looking forward to getting it. {adds half-life 2 to wish list, along with Doom 3, Quake 4, CS:CZ, and Age of empires 3}

I suppose this counts as fairly big news. Of course, assuming a preview article actually runs... that'll be much bigger news. I doubt HL2 will be as big as the original HL, though.



Of course... given the time delay between when things are officially announced and when they actually come out... I suppose the only thing we're likely for a long time will be a few screenshots to drool over. Or, of course, say "oh that engine is outdated blah blah" and such. A new engine will be nice, though. Hopefully most of the existing community will migrate over, given time.

i wouldnt doubt HL2 comming out this year, Sierra has kept quiet about it which is probably a good thing, no news is better than bad news right? tf2 i dont know about but i wouldnt put it past them to release it as a free mod with HL2, or perhaps even as a stand alone near the same time. just cause they scrapped the engine it used before doesnt mean it will become duke4ever
