CD is a v good anti-cheat, imo better than VAC. Nothing will ever totally eradicate cheats, but it would be a good idea if somehow UA work out how to get CD to work with VAC enabled. Best of both worlds then.

Finally a server company is taking my iea of seeking financial reperations for breach of contract for detected cheaters.
Frenzy Gaming here in the UK, will use a legal contract to ensure that cheaters do not cheat on their servers. Should anyone be caught in breach of contract they will be sued for inordinate amounts of money in punitive damages (well in the US they would be, here it will be limited to a court imposed fine, but nevertheless a hefty sting).

Lets see how many scumbag cheaters carry on when they start getting hit with lawsuits. (I am proud to have been consulted in my proffessional capacity inorder to help them wth this matter!)

The great thing is the contract contains plenty of vague elements whichmay be judged by a much lower standard of proof than criminal courts, so if a panel of experts, (and we have an extensive one) agree and testify, the cheater has no escape. Currently this is enforceable only here, and the server islimited to the UK currently. However if the pilot scheme is successful, I see no reason to hold back from using htis cheat deterrrent more extensively. (This contract extends furtehr to cover antisocial behaviour, (which is a crime here now) racism and any type of abuse. Also all cheats will be reported to their ISP and everything possible will ve dont to remove their connections Muhahaha.

I think VAC is still the better option, I can't say I've seen anywhere near as many cheaters are in past versions. One or two pop up now and again but on the whole it appears to be doing its job.
