I'm liking how vac is updated a lot now, but I still go into servers where there are hackers. Today is the most times I've seen hackers in my whole cs experience. Some crazy stuff.

It hasn't been too bad for me in CS1.5 lately, but CS1.6b is honestly as bad as CS1.3 was in the hayday of OGC. Seeing as there's only about 2-3 servers close enough to where I live to get a decent ping, there's not a lot of options of where to play, and so I see wallhackers and even aimbots on a regular basis. It's rather annoying that the Steam release of CS was left helpless against cheaters.
Of course, most of the really bad hacking is nothing a dedicated server staff (or perhaps enabling admin_vote_kick with a short turnaround time) couldn't take care of, but I don't tend to see admins on very much, unfortunately.Comment

maybe valve wanted that to happen with the beta make it un cheat proof and see how fast it takes someone to crack it.. and which parts they are hacking.... so they can shut them down when it is finally here. dont bother me tho if more hackers are in 1.6 then we shouldnt see many in 1.5:) wp valveComment

I have the same problem as dredd67. We host about 120 CS servers both pass en public. The all have the same problem. A reboot of the service will not work. Only a full system reboot (init 6) will do the trick. What's the reason of this?
Cool anybody help me out?
I don't like to init 6 all my game-servers ;-)Comment

I know all those authors are the top-notch ers/skinner/animaters/compilers. But i just dont like it. I still give it an 8 b/c it looked so good being made. I though it would turn out awesome. But i just dont like it. Either the grip is odd, and splinter always makes war-torn skins, which is good, but it looks weird on the grip to me.Comment
