It seems excellent and very enjoyable, but even though sequels to the game are much better, they just dont seem the same and fail.



Any one who played Aliens Vs. Predator online, probably noted AvP2 Is much better, but just lacked the originality of AvP. This goes for games like Unreal going into Unreal 2003. Unreal was a great online expierience, than U2k3 came out, and it just didnt seem the same. Don't forget Super Mario Bros. w\ Duck Hunt to Super Mario 64.



The point being this is, I hope HL2 and the mods it spawn, keep the same fun factor and just dont lose the feel of the game that has happened many times over again.

Im personally looking forward to the Hammer editor, afaik this is one of the first total IDE suites for a game. Previous games have used just mapping tools, and then for modding you had to use vc++ or something. But all in 1?? How leet :) I reckon this will help the modding community even further.
