5 v 1 | He got m4 sprayed some things and it became 0 v 1 | He wins, he is clutch. I was in a clutch round, and rather than try to be a hero, I went AFK.

Thanks guys. Is this a term from online gaming or is it something borrowed from TV sportscasting for some sport? I have never watched any sporting event so in that case that would explain my ignorance.

Update: Uhhhh. I thought I was at least conversationally versed in most basic vocabulary, so I didn't actually look up "clutch" in my abridged MW. Until now. Apparently this usage for the word clutch is not new. It appears as an adverbial definition of it: "made, done or successful in a crucial situation." I learn something new every day.

It was actually more fun listening to the shoutcast than it is to hear a baseball or football game on the radio.
