Hey dude I think it's safe to say that I know a lot more about you when it comes to Counter-Strike. Peace & respect.

First of all, you don't know the future but I can tell you that "CZ patches" are very unlikely unless by "CZ patches" you mean "CS 1.6 and 1.7." Secondly, no one knows if CZ will be in one folder so please do not act like it's factual. For this to occur, CZ and CS 1.6 would have to have the same client.dll's which I doubt will happen.
But cs will be a game it self not an addon to hl therefore it's most likely that it will have it's one little folder called conditonzero in the sierra map.

Ritual has announced that cs will have "patches" that you can add to cs which gives you the cz models, some nice effects(rain etc.) and so on.

Hey that's funny I run a very large Counter-Strike site and apparently you know the release date of 1.6 and I don't!

Stop talking, please. Reading Computer Gaming World doesn't make you an expert.
Running a large cs site doesn't exactly make you an expert eitiher.

Ritualistic announced that it will be released in july and as far as I know they haven't released a new date by they way I haven't read cgw.

        wow how interesting...

btw, to get the CZ models, the effects and so on, you'll need CZ itself. there is no patching. The only CZ content you'll get in CS multiplayer is compatibility with CS as we know it and some weapons. The weapons will be available only if they are available in CS. (ie, you won't get the m60 in 1.6)

Basically CZ will run CS with better models. (in addition to the single player content)

...but I don't think too many people are on that bandwagon quite yet.
I'm on that bandwagon with all my belongings and my entire extended family.

Why would they try to cram CS and Condition Zero in the same directory? It's most logical that Condition Zero will live in a /valve/ folder, CS will live in a /cstrike/ folder (without a models, sprites or sound folder so it'll use whatever CZ uses) meaning that CS 1.5 could ship with Condition Zero.
That's not what I said at all. I never mentioned directories or cramming.

When the news first started coming out about CS 1.6 I heard that 1.6 would be released at the same time CS:CZ was so that people that didn't buy CS:CZ would be able to play with CS:CZ players and use the CS:CZ weapons. Maybe that changed, but that's what I meant in my original post.

I dont think they will release 1.6, i think they like how they can make changes and updates instantaneously, and then get feedback, i think they will continue to use it as a "TESTING GROUND" for new cs changes and ideas. I think they will go directly to 1.7 with the release of cz

Hmm, 10600 votes when 1.4 was released compared to 2700 now. Were they made for the better?

I remember when 1.3 came out. I loved it. Except the scoreboard sucked. The scoreboard in 1.0 was pretty cool.

You obviously didn't get the joke. Duke Nukem Forever has being in development since, well, forever.

That's like saying being an expert doesn't make you an expert. Can I get a ban on aisle five?

where are all the COOL and SMART people expressing outrage that 57% of the voters in this poll are wrong and 13% of the voters in this poll are scrubby nublets?

in all honesty, i'd like to see this poll run at DoG or some site read by more of the 'esports' crowd. I bet the results would be at the very least reversed.
