i'm glad you want to do something original dave, but to be honest with you, i hope valve brings that big ol' double barreled shotgun to make you remake dust all spiffy looking like on cs2. i know its like, rediculously and incredibly uncreative, but i really DO want to try the map out with whatever new mechanics they put in. oh, and have narby remake cs_thunder for cs2, since we're on that 'narby' topic.

I miss thunder too. Had some fun times on that map back in 1.1, until it got yanked from the server rotation of so many servers. It just seemed like one of the cs_ maps that you actually had a decent chance of rescuing on as a CT.

Having played Tribes 2 for a good while, and watching it develop, pretty much all the original content (maps, style of play, etc) in one form or another got reintroduced to many servers, as people were so fond of the maps they had grown to love.

I can't say I'm not curious if similar things could happen with CS2, as we all have a lot of maps we've played over the past few years that we have a lot of fond memories of. Then again, maybe it'll just take CS1 quite a while to die out as people migrate over to CS2, and we'll still have a place to bring back the good ol' memories, heh...

Don't be stupid, he's just spotted a curry stain on his collar. They never wash out.
Actually Lemon juice applied early will remove most curry stains, which are in fact mostly caused by the Haldi, or turmeric in the curry, whih is a yellow dye as wella s mild flavouring, and is a potent and much cheaper substitute for Saffron.

And more on topic, ish, Id like cs 2 to begin with no official maps being the same as cs, I mean what the point of progress and moving on, if things stay the same? Have to say the look of maps in Tacops is generally better, maybe we should have some of their maps ported to us?...

I came across this interesting article, and I think every one here who is excited for HL2 and CS2 should read it.

I'd actually quite like to see other people clone Dust and see how accurately they do it :) (actually, I've seen one attempt of that for CS1 and it was 98% there! - quite spooky...).
Sure you say that NOW, but until you've played de_dust_final, which is by far the worst map to even use de_dust textures, you'll be wanting to put the mapper into a greek phalanx, like me.
