Ok, I hate to be bitchy, but I can't BELIEVE someone can dispute using C-D because "it requires a download". You waited how long to download cs updates? You wait how long to download sounds, maps, models, etc?



Cheating death is barely 230k big. That's about 5 seconds of download, tops, on my crappy DSL. It even auto-updates so you don't have to go out and look on the site.



Point of the matter is, cheating is still fairly prolific in the community. It has, however, gotten far more sophisticated than in the 1.3 days, where you could spot a snap-to and a headshot machine as easily as anything. These days aimbots aim more random, wallhacks are toggleable, and at least a dozen or more cheats are unblocked by VAC. Take a look at the number of people CAL bans every week to see what effect cheating has had on this game.



If it's not on your favorite server, it's pretty easy to find one that does have it. Sure, maybe 90% of servers don't have it, but I'm willing to wager you don't play on 99% of cs servers out there anyhow. All you need is 1 or 2 that do have it.

As for the person that mentioned the list of "cd proof" cheats, it should be noted that one of them is a 2 year old colored models aimbot that is both crappy, easily spottable by first person, and shows up in screenshots. The other is an "anti recoil" that merely pushes your mouse down while spray/praying.



Not exactly the consummate list of top shelf cheats, if you ask me.

1) CD activated cant let you play on non CD servers

2) You need to exit CS and kill CD to play on non CD servers

3) Autoupdates doesn't work (at least today)

4) Completely useless if server doesn't set it as mandatory.

How do you get unbanned from secure servers. I've NEVER cheated and never will. I don't even know how to or where to get the cheats. I've got no clue, and its a pain to find a server if your banned from 100 for "cheating" <---I DON'T CHEAT. If you looked at my scores you would know I don't, i really suck. SOMEONE HELP!

Here's a tip to people. If you get disconnected from more than 1-2 servers for cheating initially, then wipe your CS installation out and reinstall the whole thing. It's your best chance of fixing any problems that VAC could be interpreting as cheats.



Beyond that, well, you might be SOL, I'm sorry to say.

1) That's the POINT with Cheating Death. To play on CD servers.

2) Oh lord, that takes too long. All those 15 seconds or so.

3) No comment.

4) Find another server, is it too hard?



I personally would like to see you code a anti cheat.

Yeah, autoupdates didn't work because someone took the time to DDoS all the 5-6 update servers. Let's all thank idiots with no life, the author of the sub7 trojan, and the TCP/IP protocol, which has so many exploits in order to kill internet hosts it's not even funny.



Anyhow, everything seems back to normal today :)
