In cs, hacking isnt any fun for anyone unless your playing on a server where EVERYONE has h4x. If you dont, you wont last long. Me, i just avoid those servers.Comment

Let me get a few points out here about the cheat users and their CH interviews.
First of all, Book of Revelation and Gen. Jap make some interesting statements about their motivations (and the origins of [JAPS] Clan). Specifically, they cite the problem of people who try to hide cheats and exploits while playing in a public forum. They claim their movement is intent on stopping these people with the overwhelming power of their cheat tools. This is ridiculous; Funny, but ridiculous.
myg0t on the otherhand seem more genuine about their emotional motivations for cheats -- Rage. Making other people angry who are powerless to stop you is a major boost for people with little positive self-image.
You can say that you cheat to stop others from cheating but ultimately this is not rationally justified. Rage is the only true motivation for cheating. Rage.

I have to disagree with you here. Just like everything else, cheating flawlessly takes practice and skill. You could get a 7:1 ratio with OGC 7.32c without even thinking, but its hard to go 128:0 without having a great deal of practice at it. You can say it isn't fair competition, and I agree with that, but cheating competitions are still competitions and a lot more is going on than just letting a script do everything.
Yes there are servers like that, but no, that's not fun. That's lame. "Oh look, my computer beat your computer at auto-aiming!" How fucking gay.Comment

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but...I think that machinma is using a media such as a game to film something. You use the avatars of the characters as the visual actors, and the scenery in game for the props and background.
Pardon the ignorance, but what is a machinma?Comment

I dont understand.... But i wont talk about it anymore...Mr. T wrote..
Militia 2 was even better than the first one as it concluded the story. It gave flashbacks to when the guy threw the flashbang and told what happened after. Very good story.. better voice/sound effects, better plot, better mapping and....u get the point
Militia 1 was awesome. I never got around to downloading Militia 2, was it any good?Comment

Yeah, pretty much video rendered in real-time, such as game engines do. Doing the pre-rendered type of stuff like normal movies do would not count. Typically, the idea is that you have a game world and characters, and you build your story around those, and act it out in real-time. The upside is that you don't have to spend tons of time going over the film, editing it all, creating new models and animating scenes and all this stuff that goes on for typical CG/special-effects in movies. The obvious downside is that the final product doesn't look quite as nice.

Some interesting other stuff with the "non-photorealistic rendering" tech TFG was having some guys work on... looked like the technology still needed a lot of work, but ultimately it was making computer games (such as Half-Life mods) look like they were cell-shaded like comics. Neat stuff, but still seemed to be needing work.Comment

eh.. well i felt that militia 2 was too long and drawn out.. a lot of people screamed 'instant success' after seeing I think the only reason they said that was because.. well its a sequel to a really great movie. the best part about militia 1 was that the voices, you could tell, were unprofessional and so nerdy and.. it just had this air of, how you say, purity in it. it was untouched by the fast-paced 2 hour movie of some person whose family was killed and is going out and kicking ass to get revenge that is what most action movies today revolves around. hell, i didn't mind that it was short at all or that the voices "didn't go along with the models", it was just raw video strung together perfectly to create the perfect story..
Hey maxmime, heh good point and funny too -- what I'm actually referring to with "get a life" is the fact that hacking gives a few people an advantage while ruining the gaming experience for the majority of people. It's the motive behind the hacking that warrants my comment. My movies, as far as I know, do not have the same affect.
tbh.. militia 1 owned militia 2. but if you want to get yourself credibility as a good director, then movies like militia 2 are the way to go (think about though... movies like militia 2).Comment
