SEL Coverage

The SEL event is going on over in that far away place we call Europe. We have some of that coverage right here on CSN. It's a shame to see Game Online forfeit, I believe they would've made excellent opponents to anyone of these teams. It's looking a lot like a SK and Team9 showdown, but that could change very easily the way Matrix has been playing. To anyone who knows a bit about SEL playoffs, it would be obvious that these matches are NOT it. Why, you ask? Because SEL playoffs work like this:



The team with the fourth best record during the regular season plays the team with the third best record during the regular season. Then the winner of that match plays the team with the second best record during the regular season. The winner of that match plays the team with the best record during the regular season in the championship match. (mr 15 throughout season/playoffs).



Last season HLO took out Team 9 in an AMAZING championship match on nuke. HLO went up 12-3 as cts but Team 9 went 11-0 as soon as they got their crack at being cts. Then HLO picked up 4 of the last 5 rounds, winning the match in dramatic fashion. Brilliant stuff.

I'm not sure the silver/gold mix works that well with this. All-gold or all-chrome looks better IMO. Having said that, this isn't a bad replacement by a long way.
