not as much unbalanced as it is stupid. I'd rather play prodigy than cpl_fire.

I love G36c's. They're possibly my favourite assault rifle ever, and is easily one of the sexiest weapons of nay form ever made. Sadly, this model doesn't quite live up to the great G36c name.

The modelling is very very good. I would complain about the lens caps on the aim point, since they just kinda annoy me, but they're a piece of piss to hack off anyway. The rest of the model is very accurate and true to the real-life weapon (though not quite perfectly) and the level of detail in the model more then makes up for the high 4829 poly count. This is possibly the best G36c model.

The skin however, is quite bad. Correction: it's too good. It's very dark, just like the real gun is. It's basically all one colour just like the real gun is. The reflection on the lens is very pretty. The problem is, it's so close to the real gun, it actually ends up looking kinda bad. The skin is pitch black like the real gun, and this hides a lot of the detail in the model. The highlights are very precise (yay, not under-contrasted for once!), which while being realistic, doesn't make for an interesting model to look at. It doesn't help that due to the origins, you mostly just see the back of the gun which is suffering from some stretching and warping. If this was a default model I'd say the skin was great, as it totally captures what the g36c is - sleek, dark, just plain gorgeous. However, as a custom model (the point of which is to make CS look nicer) it fails as you basically "can't see nowt". Overall, nice skin but fatally flawed.

The animations are very nice. The shoot animation(s) are a bit bouncy which I don't like, but just speed the shoot animations up a tad and you won't notice it much. The draw and reload animations are very nice, though the reload does cover up a bit too much of the screen for my liking. That is mostly however due to the origins. I can't stand centred/centre-ish origins (sod realism), and these origins are the biggest downfall of the model. They hide a lot of the detail and makes the model take up a large portion of the middle of the screen. You're stuck looking at the back of the gun for most of the time, while the muzzle flash and rest of the gun partly block your view in a fire fight. It's simply not practical and not pretty. Thankfully origins aren't a hard thing to change, but it's still a change you shouldn't have to do in the first place.

Overall, one of the better G36c models, ruined by a few fatal flaws. Give this thing a prettier skin, different origins and a tiny bit of editing on the model itself, and it's great. As it is though, it's not all that amazing. Still, at least I now have a G36c for my Aug, SG552, MP5, AK-47 and Colt M4A1

I remember this gun from TS and FA I believe (can't rem been long time since i played FA). It truly is a BEAST. I give this man credit since his expertise is modeling (damn fine job) and not skinning (still looks better than some peoples). I say this will be the king till we get a re-skinned and re-origined (hopefully) version.
