CS:CZ Release Date

IGN PC has posted a release date on Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. The original release date was nearly a year earlier than the unofficial release date posted by IGN, September 9th, 2003. VALVe has been late on several releases in the past, so you know what to expect!



If the release date is incorrect on the IGN website, then I will post an update here on CS-Nation!

CS:CZ Release Date

As reported earlier, there seemed to be a discrepancy with Vivendi's 2004 financial report. Namely that Condition Zero was not on that list. However, Gamer's Hell is now reporting that Counter-Strike: Condition Zero will be released in March 2004.

VU Games sent us its updated European release schedule, and there are several changes and surprises. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero... is scheduled for March 2004.

It seems that rumors of Condition Zero being cancelled are greatly exaggerated. You can go over to Gamer's Hell and check out the entire Vivendi Release Schedule for 2004. It even includes an ominous "TBA" (To Be Announced) release date for Half-Life 2. Special thanks to FLeK0 for pointing out this story.

CS/CZ it going to be too little too late. i think the new CZ T models are Butt (bad, not like j-lo butt). why would you buy a CS based game if you cant play the missions from both sides? i am going to wait for Doom3 and HL2 to buy any new games. any word on if 1.6 is coming out this weekend.

As for 1.6, I was wondering that too, but I fear no chance in hell. I thought the "two weeks" thing was a blatent joke refering to ID software's 9 month "out in two weeks" epic. (Wouldn't we have heard murmers from all the activity surrounding the mirror sites required for its release this weekend?)



I think CS/CZ will suceed despite the older software thanks to the CS customer base and the mass of people without newer hardware to appreciate the best of HL2 & Doom 3.

IGN doesn't know the real release date(noone does, ritual dind't tell anyone), just don't trust them. The game is almost done.

Ritual is working on the game since 10 months, they didn't tell us any release dates, Doug Lombardi from VALVe said "around May" in an interview(at HomeLan I think), in 2k2.

There were no official specific release dates. Neither this one.

It can't, all these dates are bullsh*t, if it's true that means cs1.6 will be released with the hlpatch in sept. too(a half month before hl2 and maybe cs2), VALVe won't do that, it must be out before the big summer esport events.

It would be strange for CZ to be released just before HL2. Surely people would just buy HL2 as it has better graphics and AI (from what I've read and seen).



Ahh well... I'll just sit tight and wait for a copy of CZ to appear in my local store!

If anything all this guessing is beginning to get on my nerves. Every man and his donkey is guessing when these games are coming out.



The most I am giving them is the fact that they ARE supposed to be coming out. End of story. In the mean time I have work to do! =)

why would want CZ if half life 2 is coming out a month later. if that release is true then it really sucks.

The official CS-CZ website was updated recently, and it said the game would be out this summer.



Just about every website has a speculated release date, what exactly makes this one different ?

i don't think that CS on X-box will be not such a good idea...till i won't buy it on X-box so im just gonna wait till september i guess...
