World Rankings Updated

Over at GotFrag, the official World Rankings have been updated. SK.swe has held onto their first place title yet again, while GoL ! eoL moves up to second, Team9 holds onto third, and 3D has moved all the way down to fourth.



Along with the World Rankings, the North America and European rankings were also updated. Though 3D has dropped two places in the world, they still hold their prized number one spot in North America. Gamers-X has made a jump up to number two, and zEx has fallen to third. Over in Europe, SK.swe continues to hold onto number one, while GoL ! eoL is only a few points behind.



The CAL season is winding down, and the summer CPL is approaching. All of these teams must make their final adjustments to go into the event prepared. There is no room for error at the CPL!

nice orion, i was an excluded child, still passed oxbridge exams though

dont worry reasons an all that. Gogo 4k frist time ive seen them mentioned on this site!! Is there an online international comp? lan v lan? marshalled by refs, n with a webcam streaming to the referees? just an idea... we could then have a champions league of cs, featuring the owrld top ten teams, online... Id make full use of my nationalist status to get exclusive links to the hltv ips for that :P

You know...assuming 3d is the best that the US has to offer..and they arent in top 3....i really want to see some european teams play. Or..if that cant happen..maybe someone could explain the difference between how US clans play and European clans.

Well, it used to be that USA teams were the skill teams with little strategy. Euro teams had a little bit less skill (still all CAL-I calber of course) but had AMAZING strategy. Now though, strategies have pretty much evened out.



European teams seem to have more balance though. Lots of teams with really high skill and strategy and teamwork, all necessary for top teams. USA seems to have more of the All-Star teams in 3D, zEx, and GX.



Also, in my opinion, euro teams seem more sportsmanlike. 3D is the cockiest people on the planet. THey think they are the tops in the wrld and cant be beat. I've seen this in Iviews. Euro clans seem to be more friendly and willing to help (Vesslan and his guides on gamers.nu for example). THat doens't have much to do with who is better, but it kind of puts who you consider your favourite team into perspective.

Also, CS is kind of seen for nerds in North America. In Europe (or at least Sweden I've heard) It's a bit more understood. So their talent pool is larger as well.

3D is not cocky at all, I had no problem getting an interview with KSharp and Torbull. They are really nice guys as long as you don't go off on a shit train with them.

You are right about one thing though, CS is seen for "nerds only," here in America. Over in Europe it is more accepted, so thus more people are willing to go professional with it and e
