Irvine Tournies

Ownij Digital Entertainment, that crazy Irvine, California LAN center that sponsors a CAL-i team, is now holding weekly Counter-Strike tournaments (using CAL rules) where the winning team can take home up to $500! The first event will take play on July 5th starting at 2 PM. 10 computers are available for rental, rest must BYOC.



If you're not into that whole clan thing (or even if you are), you'll still want to check out the Frag-a-Jigg LAN party happening June 28-29th (free pizza for the love of all things holy!!). Both events are in Irvine, California (if you can't read above). Ownij does a lot of kick-ass stuff and is a great sponsor for this site so if you're in the area I highly recommend you attend at least one of these fun CS bashes.

I went to a LAN a couple weeks ago.



It was in a guy's garage, with some 30 computers hooked up around the place on tables. The guy has a bug problem, and when my computer was off for some reason or another, they would crawl in. Long story short, when I started back up they would try and get out through the fans and their guts would splatter all over everything in my computer.



Just imagine cleaning bug guts out of the dark, hard to reach corners of your computer case.

Well, I was thinking of not going to taht LAN thing, but since you metioned pizza, of all things holly too, I guess I'll go. Also, that is a very disgusting story Exo, but why would you host a LAN in a garage, of all places? You'd think there'd be a lack of outlets in generally most garages.

Actually I got lucky, they didn't really get on my motherboard because the they all crawled through the lower, front fan, so most of the splatter was on the inside of my window and the bottom of the case.

I had to clean my own blood from my computer case once, cause I was upgrading something and I slit my thumb.
