cl_bob 0. big FREAKING deal, all it does it makes ur weapon not move around, its less distracting. This was a VERY important match for shock~ and the fact these admins are being so picky about it is rediculous. I say suspend him sure, but replay such a critical match, and such a great one too, is pathetic. Big deal, turning ur own weapon model off only makes it harder to know when ur done reloading.



Now shock will lose 14-10 to TEC, I would say shock would win it, but now their missing one of their starters. gg... this is dissapointing to CAL in my opinion.

i think it was too harsh, but for CAL this is a slap on the wrist. they should have let the decision stand and just suspended kSpro from the playoffs.

I think its ridiculous that the consumption of cannabis is illegal in most countries of the world, but it's still a law that we have to abide by. The fact of the matter is that it is in the rules that NOBODY has that particular setting, and if someone is stupid enough to not read the rules, or is sneaky enough to try and use particular settings to "cheat" then they have to be penalised. You don't tell the cop after you've been speeding that it's a stupid law and he shouldn't book you for it, do you?

cl_bob is not a cheat. the guy gets MOTION SICKNESS FROM THE BOBBING!!! jeez. cl_bob doesn't give him an unfair advantage, and that is what WWCL is there for.

LOL! They are exploits, NOT hacks, which means they give you an unfair advantage in some situations, but were never intended to be manipulated in that way.

Both teams should check the server's settings to verify that they are correct. If no objections are made prior to play commencing, no team may challenge the settings during or after play.

I dunno, I think the ruling was bad. The rules right here clearly state that if objections to the rules (IE server settings IE cl_bob 0 being banned) aren't made BEFORE the match starts, you can't challange it. Maybe I'm mis-interperating this statement in the CAl rules, but it seems to me that the entire issue became moot once the round started.



It's stupid that Shock lost one of their starters over a technicality at best. I'd like to see one person who honestly thinks they won SOLELY because one person used cl_bob 0. Give me a break. Not once, by the way, is cl_bob mentioned in the rules. If anything, the players of Shock should be apologized to by CAl for worrying them so much to start with: there's no list of illegal console commands to enter duiring a match, and unless it's proven that kS hacked his way around cal.cfg (doubtfull), the match shouldn't be forfeited at all.



cl_bob did not cause one team or the other to play any better or worse than they would have normally. Thus, I feel that the decision to throw the match out and re-do it, with one team severely hurting from their loss of a good starter and an excellent player, is simply bad policy.

I don't think its so much an issue of whether or not cl_bob gave him an advantage (which it's pretty obvious it didn't) but more about the uniformity CAL is trying to instill. I thinks its more of a matter of CAL wanting to even the playing field as possible even in cases where it really doesn't make a difference.



Even though CAL prohibits so-called "config-hacking" its never really clear to what point what can and can't be changed. CAL is at fault for being too vague when it came to the rules, and Ks is at fault for not erring on the side of caution. Ks is kinda being made an example of. Its really unfortunate that this happens because they would've won without cl_bob and now they have to do this all over again. At least now they'll have the list of illegal config changes.

I still don't see why all you people haven't caught on yet. The bob thing is such a big deal because for one half of the match WWCL was on and he would have had to alias to get around it, and there's no telling what else he may have aliased. He hacked WWCL which is the main reason for the ban and rematch.



Also for anyone saying it's not said anywhere this is an illegal command, go look in the CAL WWCL config at the blocked cvars. Oh look! cl_bob is forced to default! Obviously changing it doesn't matter. Oh look, interp is forced to default too. Is he allowed to change that 'cause he has slow reactions?
