What I still dont understand is...

If the cheater is blatant and obvious, the show will lose all meaning 10 minutes in.

If the players they choose cannot do random "sunman-i-think-i-heard-him-coming-so-i-no-sc
oped-thru-train-wall-to-kill-him" 's then it wont look like they are hacking.

Also... HLTV removes recoil and flashes, how are we supposed to know if they are using a recoil, vision hack?

I hope this is a joke: It gives cheating a 'good' name. :-(

How about CS Idols, we can vote off everyone who is not a cheater. :)

how does this give cheating a good name? It tests people's skill to find a cheater, which means they will be able to find cheaters on pub servers better.

I had a great moment kind of like that last night, though a tad different. Dust2, defending B from the planting zone, saw a guy crough at the inside entrance. Quickly slipped behind a crate a few feet over, and shot him in the head through it, just judging from menal approximations of the geometry and such... it's the kind of thing you're able to do sometimes after you've played a while, but newer players will mistake it as a wallhack.

Those would make it more interesting, perhaps. Afterall, they never said for sure that the cheater would be using a wallhack. For all we know, it could be a nosmoke/noflash hack. Hopefully, whatever it is, it'll be something that's among the more common cheats, as the whole "learn how to recognize a cheater" aspect won't really be relevant with some funky custom cheat.

The problem I find when I do or attempt that,m is that ive been taking the median approximations of the geomoetrics subconciously! Doh, thats why I always miss those shots :P

On paper, this is a pretty good idea. Ever since cheats hit it big with this mod, it's been blatantly obvious that most people simply can't determine who's cheating and who's not to save their lives. This would be a great way to actually get these simps to work a little harder at their accusations without screwing anyone over if their assessment is wrong. The only problem is, there's just no way in hell you're going to get enough people participating to make a difference in the matter.

In regards to CmdrFlesh & FatboyTim's comments about this project promoting cheating... please do not misinterpret our intentions, the objective is to educate.

The mole won't be easy to discover. Also in regards to HLTV, we will have 10 spectators monitoring the 10 players and recording demos of each in first person, these will be avaliable for download in both DEM and AVI format.

Perhaps they will relise their futile mistake and release spectator demos?

Thats a better idea... maybe releaase 10, 10 min videos of HLTV, once a day so we don't have to watch soooooo much cs that we must think about.

Counter Hack is kind of a joke. I think any web site with spelling mistakes all over their content presents a real unprofessional look.

no comment on the mole stuff btw

I hope there will also be HLTV, though, as it's sometimes nice to get the broader overview of the game and/or not have to watch quite so much. Okay, so I'm just bemoaning my 56k again...

Yes, they could use a good editor. However, if only given a choice between a professional quality site with no useful content, or a sloppy site with good stuff, I'd personally go for option #2.

lol MikeJ just made a good point. I'll have to look into that :P *blush*

Anyways, we'll be running HLTV for probably 400 people as well as taking demos.

I say that we invite all cheaters to sign up to be part of this. We ask for their information such as their address, we find them, take their computers, and then chop them up into little pieces and throw them away. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA my plan shall not be foiled this time....
