Remember that announcement I promised a while ago? Well here it is. It's nothing special or important but something I've wanted to do for a while now but never had the time.
I started Half-Life: Reciprocity about 4 months ago in order to fill a hole in my experience and to get back into the single player level design scene. It's a fairly hefty chunk of level design, coupled with one or two additions and hopefully one last gasp of Half-Life single player fun before the advent of Half-Life 2. I just wanted to work on improving my game design and single player design skills, it's certainly not a major mod or anything like that, more of a pet project.
The project currently stands at about 20 new maps, with another 15-20 to follow as well as a whole bunch of new soundtracks, all new scripted sentences, two new enemies and two new weapons (time permitting). So far all the level design was done by myself but there might be additional stuff by couple of friends too and of course, the code/models/art and animation.
I don't want to reveal too much right now, so I'll let you digest some screenshots of what I have so far.
I'm trying to keep in a similar visual style to the original Half-Life in terms of art and gameplay, and it's been a lot of fun so far working on this. As usual, the release date is "when it's done".
Once the project is done, I'll release all the concept art that went with it, here's one from part of the lab complex.
