thats the auto-waypointing, the larger the map, the longer the analysis.
In he first custom map I played, somehow STEAM automatically initiated "analyzing" the new map. However, when I try this with the maps in CSCENTRAL Map Pack. It seems that it only gives me 1 fps forever.

i have decided to update team fortress classic, half-life, and HLDS parts using steam. but this looks so weird:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/alexhamster/steam2.jpg
steam is reporting 346 kbytes/sec network usage (my connection can only have max 62 kbytes/sec download), and netpeeker is reporting that my conenction is only being used at 27 kbytes/sec. and that's why steam is still a beta
ive got rid of updating all the other mods cos they take up about 2GB together, so ill stick with HLDS for now, woot 43 mins left!!!!!11

actually that's perfectly correct...steam is reporting in kilobits per second while your netpeeker is using kilobytes.
you're network usage according to steam is 346kb/sec which is like 43KB/sec. So steam is only 50% off of what netpeeker is showing you, and steam could be an average tranfer speed or spiking and netpeeker shows you max at 48KB/sec so it's actually pretty accurate.Comment
