    TEC > Shockwave

Well all of the build-up and hype leads to...

Shock taking a double forfeit, for they could not pull together five for the match. Thus giving TEC the victory.

Time will tell how this affects #shockwave and where their team will go from here. If you want to read up on what exactly all of the build-up and hype is, click here.

Best of Luck to both teams in the future!

Shame really, as everybody likes to root for the underdog, especially in the "same old clans" world of CS. Best of luck in their future matches, and at least they have proved that they can cut it in top games with the big boys :)

Good luck to TEC in the playoffs.

Maybe they'll play by the rules next season.

3D will most likely win the playoffs.

        Why?

zEx will lose to someone like nerve.

TEC will have fourteen players die in a fatal car accident.

Gamers-X will fall a few letters short of X.

CAL-I Playoffs always result in 3D winning somehow, they are an excellent team, but all the other Power Houses just die for some reason in the playoffs.

I think it has something to do with 3D being one of the few teams that doesn't shuffle around their roster with clan hoppers every time they lose a match. Stability and team work put them on top.

Rival beat em a couple seasons ago, I watched that go down on HLTV. They had it but didn't adapt their strats. I think rival kept pushing outside and they didn't boost their defense in that area until they gave up too many rounds.

I don't think 3D really cares about how they get to the playoffs, just that they get to the playoffs. And once they're there, they start actually working towards the CAL-I title.

To them, I think, it's just a matter of getting there, not how they get there. It's all the same, right? A CAL-I title is a CAL-I title.

Plus the fact that they're so stable and well seated where they're at. They don't really have to worry about sponsorships or one player fighting with another, etc etc.

If you're referring to the rival match, I don't think pointing out what they did wrong was an excuse.

phrozen is right, this is a buzz kill, if anyone was even buzzed about it in the first place.

shock broke the rules, i am glad they were forced to give up the match. kharma seems to be present in the CS world eh?

IMO, kSpro was wrong, but TEC should've\would've lost this match twice.

personally, i think 3d was better before they got sponsored by Nvidia and CompUSA..but after, they're starting to go down..

Is it that 3d is starting to go down? Or are the other teams out there working harder, getting more serious? p.s. WEW makes me cry.

Oh boo fucking hoo. They deserved that win as much as Sammy Sosa deserved a homerun lobbed 400 feet with a corked bat. Can he still hit the big ones without a corked bat? Hell fucking yea he can. But that doesn't make it right or fair and hince the, what was it, 9 game suspension? And it's not CAL's fault shock couldn't get 5 players together when they knew they would have to re play this match some time this week. TEC may not be a better team, but guess what they played by the book through and through and look where it got them. And it's perfectly fair, because it's perfectly easy not to edit your god damn config file.

And if to add insult to injury CAL is making this simple to follow brainless rule even MORE idiot proof. http://gotfrag.com/?node=news&id=909&x=
CALCLIENT- One of our newest weapons in the war against unfair advantages is our new CALCLIENT.CFG

                              ...

This new client side configuration will replace the use of WWCL as CAL's weapon against the use of aliases aka "config hacking" This file should be downloaded, extracted into your /cstrike folder and can be executed from within the match by pulling down the console, and typing "exec calclient.cfg".

                              ...

1st offense- Involuntary 4 week suspension

2nd offense- Suspension for remainder of season, including playoffs

3rd offense- Suspension for remainder of season, including playoffs, and one additional full season
Now it's going to take a special breed of bimbo to break a useless fucking client side misconfiguration. Think shock is up for the challenge?

Or hey we can just sit back and yell at CAL all day long with our thumb up our asses and pretend we actually care about what they do.

Some teams need to go back to cal-o.
