Mega Poll!

It's Saturday, which means it's time for us to break out our dancing shoes and do a little poll tango. This week, we'll be discussing the new 1.6 knife. If you haven't seen it yet, we covered it earlier in the week. I can't decide if I like this one yet. It's a good model, but the skin is kind of ugly. What do you think? Vote now!

I think a lot of people were being a bit too picky on this one. The poll assumed you already had a computer that could run CS. It was asking you which of those things you would spend extra money on if you could. I'm very surprised at how low sound card was. This is why people say others cheat. I don't have the best sound card available, but I can hear everyone across the map and follow them with my mouse ready to pop them when they turn a corner. You guys are missing the boat if you're just using cheap stuff. EAX is really OGC, you know.

I had a hard time deciding between sound card and mouse... if you have a good, comfortable mouse it feels natural and easy to aim perfectly, although you also need a good mouse pad. Sound is obviously (?) a huge advantage also.

As for video card and cpu, well, all these do is give you better fps... and for an "old" game like CS most computers that were bought or upgraded in the last few years should have no fps problems.

I like how the new knife is held, that is, blade up... but I don't like the actual model itself.

new knife skin animations are nothing short of pathetic. whenever i use it i feel like a retard with little to no hand-eye coordination trying to jerk off, its just so very very wrong.

I picked mouse as for those 4 thats IS what I bought. But I didn't really have the money for the other 3 anyway.

Yes, I'd have to agree with that since with a3d you can hear almost twice as far as eax. If you don't have a3d you got ripped.

You've got it all wrong, the knife is okay, but its the way its held. The guy looks like hes trying to hug someone with it. And a good sound card is important, seeing how mine is shit and my speakers only work on one side.

you understand that a good sound card is 1000x better than any cheat could be! a sb aud gamer is a wall hack like none other. It wasnt until i got mine that i was started to be called a hacker, and now i have gotten so good at pin pointing sounds that i am

· killing camping terrorists through the garage wall on militia,

· getting those first 2 shots through a corner as some one comes running around

· nailing cts through the roof, or back wall on assault etc etc

i think im one of the luckier player because i have a creative audigy, radeon 8500 and logitech mx700...so i might have a slight advantage over others. well my cpu is p3 866 but its sufficient.



btw, EAX is really OGC i can hear everyone with my sony studio headphone
