if VU approves of the RC (they have the option to send it back to valve for more work if they don't think its up to standard) then it will take at least a couple of weeks to produce and ship all the games. i'm not sure when they will let us buy via steam.

if the original release date was sep 30 of last year, i'm sure that's what they are aiming for now. (just like the 1 year delay on the first HL)

GabeN posts something on HL2Fallout. Ok. Things went so well last time he 'posted' there, we should ALL believe it.

And if there are a 'couple' of bugs left, why in the HELL don't you just fix this shit with your uber-elite-instant-delivery-platform? Can you not just queue up the fixes while it's getting pressed? Dear God.

          Just fucking release the game.

This time it's been shown to be real in a few different areas. One of them being that at least one person provided email confirmation from Gabe that it was actually him. Also I'm sure by now he has learned to make his password something a bit more difficult than gaben.

It doesn't matter if there are one or one hundred bugs left. Publishers like to see a near flawless game before they put their "stamp of approval" on it. They don't want to put out a bug filled game with their name all over it, it'd be bad business.

                  Laugh out loud.

Anyway, I doubt it's a hack, unless gabe was stupid enough to not change his password to something complex like sajkadg135.

Right on schedule. (the unofficial date was 9/15)

By the way, it took the HL1 RC 48 hours to be approved.

They make QA people work up to three 24 hour days in a row on and RC for a game that is way behind schedule.

Unless there is a showstopper bug expect to see it go gold no later than monday.

If there is a bug, however, it will be rejected and Vavle will need to fix it and send a new RC.

this time around, it doesn't have as much shock value. but still, the end of the waiting is near...and that brings a smile to my pimply face.

                              I feel the same way

                              just w/out the pimple...face...thing.

maybe instead of posting info on hl2fallout

he can post on csnation for confirmation

                              THAT RHYMES!

What do you mean 'this time around'?

This is the first (and hopefully only) release candidate for HL2.
