Well looking at the track record so far, VALVe has no problem at all making their customers wait, yes the same customers that feed Gabe Newell Fried Chicken TV Dinners --
CZ took a couple months, but that's because there wasnt a whole lot of pressure to release it quickly. There are thousands of gamers waiting and upgrading specificly to play HL2. I would say that higher demand would yeild quicker supply. [badjoke]September 30th anyone????[/badjoke]Comment

They do have 14 days to get it done by then? From what I know about Vevendi Universal is they have a room with 30 computers and 30 apes and they're working around the clock to burn the game and stuff into as many boxes as they can.
September 30th. The date hasn't changed yet.
Amazon.com is reporting it will release November 1stComment

You make it as if we make up this news on the spot. This comes from credible sources here, and as such we post about it. News is news whether you like it or not, we post about it. You basically want us to ignore significant events in the HL/CS world just because you're tired of being 'teased.' That's like everyone complaining to news and media for producing some article about the presidential election even though it's not for some time yet. Give me a break.
Come on Zips... your news is often the same HL2 realease tease over and over. Don't get me wrong but again you are guessing at when it will be truely released. I just think it is time to time to sit and let mothernature take it's beutiful course.. all right?I2o[G]uE TacT-X wrote..
Yeah, you got me.
Zips is far too simple to come up with such a complex password. I'll put my money on "asdf." =PShadow wrote..
My original statement seemed to go over your head, so I made sure not to make that same mistake. Yes, I know about it, and I wasn't sure why you had commented to my obvious joke before. But... eh.
Great, I thought this was something you knew already, but then you posted, and whatever.Comment

Soviet Union is more or less back :p
Oh my god.
This event rivals the discoveries of Galileo, the achievements of Einstein, space exploration, and the fall of the Soviet Union. Let us take this date with us through history.

Vivendi Universal.
VU distributes the game, basically, I believe. VU has to test it and stuff which could take about a week or two, then hl2 will go gold and be available in a week or two after that..or more depending on a lot of stuff..
You are truely a dumbass, if you couldn't answer that newbie question. And they are the publisher, not the distributer.
Testing should take 2-5 days (HL1 took less than 48 hours), not a week or two, stupid.
Here is a tip:
Keep your fingers away from the keyboard if you don't know what the fuck is going on.
And I know you have trolled on political forums.
Using the same name for all your accounts is really dumb.Comment

Well first off he is right that it could take a few weeks to "Approve the Release Candidate" -- Which includes many things along with game testing. "Vivendi Universal would still have to approve this release candidate, which could take several weeks. When the release candidate(s) are approved, a gold announcement should follow.

According to the dictionary.com
"Distributer" - One who, or that which, distributes or deals out anything; a dispenser
Publisher - One that is engaged in publishing printed material.
I'll let you judge that one.
Ease up before you go and bust someone out.Comment
