Ahhhh, so that's what was causing random connection drops. At least, I hope that's all it was. I was starting to become discouraged with my connection difficulties.



Been playing DoD again a bit lately as well as CS and NS. Pity real life doesn't allow unlimited gaming time... :)

1) we'll ignore each one or

2) we'll pull a Ritchey007 and just thank you once in a newsbits listing :)

There's a third option (if it gets hostile) which I like, and that's thanking someone else for the submission who didn't do anything of value. Preferably someone that isn't well liked by the first guy. Then I can get sadistic joy from imagining the news reporter writhing in the agony of sweet, sweet injustice.



I think I may need to take my pills again, but the voices in my head are warning me not to, so maybe I wont...

Everyone jumps to submit news when they notice it hasn't been posted In a way, the community is as responsible for this site's success as rizzuh and the other CS-Nation employees.



Although, to keep the community from becoming arrogant we must acknowledge that only rizzuh spends countless hours coding for it.

is there a stated reason from Eric Smith (or anyone, actually) why they are just now banning for time periods? How about a month, and if the module's are banning people that arent cheating (like, a bug or something) quickly revert back to old module? too much of a hassle?

[pr] -- There already were revocations of bans when there were glitches and false positives from new modules. Basically, they revoke all the bans for that type of violation for the past X hours, and revert back to the old module until they fix the bug.



Regardless, I'm glad to see the progressive banning scheme starting up. Go ahead and test your cheats against VAC kiddies. I'll be happy to watch you get your first 1 day ban, then a longer one... then a longer one still, until you finally figure out that it sucks being banned from CS for a month, and play with a clean install. :)
