I think the Source Engine would provide scores of new possibilities, but adding more "realism" in my opinion would just change what CS is all about. I understand that games like CS change from time to time, but turning Counter-Strike into another Day of Defeat (which is a great game) is not what we should do with this new technology. What makes CS so great is not weapon jams or destructible environments or even vehicles, but sweet simple gameplay. If it were up to me, I would add insane graphics, a few new scenarios, and new weapons, but that's about it.

This is the reason CS should be kept as simple as possible, because the general public is stupid and doesn't know what to do with strategic gameplay. Moveable crates would just add another way for people to fuck around. When was the last time you saw someone use a flashbang TO BLIND THE OTHER TEAM?

PIcking up dead foes, n using them as temporary shields would be quite good, especially as the body could disintegrate under fire, leaving u holding a bit of spine, n entrails.

I liked it when a guy in mailbag said a chest shot wouldnt necessarily kill, and we could have proper trackable blood trails. Sweeeeet.
