Err well I personally dont even see the need for a headset unless you do LAN partie's..

I have crap ass speakers, crap ass sound card, and a 15$ (CAD) microphone.

Its always worked great and fine...

    And just one more thing..

If you were going to buy a headset (Which I eventually plan on doing myself), your just a flaming retard if you buy the ones that have the CS logo on them for like 50$ more than you can get the DSP-500 on Amazon for 62.99.....

Either that or your rich and got money to burn, and if you are, after I finish mass murdering hobo's You'll be next.

I'm not in C.P.L. or anything I just play C.S. for the fun of it. Other people can hear me just fine and I can hear them too with my current set, and the real kicker is that...

I bought my headset for $7.00 at Radio-shack!

i just got a pair 2 weeks ago at frys for $100 and I love them. The thing is I only went in there to spend $35 or so but I figured I can always return them if I dont like them. Now that I know I can get them so cheap I might return them and get them somewhere else...but I doubt it...cause they were worth the money imo

I am so glad I got the standard black and silver instead of the ugly yellow cs ones.

I have worked in a call centre now for 10 years and we have always used Plantronics headsets. The quality of Plantronics is amazing, and so is their service.

I have owned a DSP-300 http://www.plantronics.com/canada/en_US...Id=cat1200105 headset for almost a year now and it is amazing. The only problem I ever had with it was that the 'Persono' software that comes with it is buggy. After speaking to Plantronics usign their 'call me' button on the website, I was told to just skip the software and just load the drivers. My DSP-300 headset has worked perfect ever since.

Not too brag or anything, but in dealing with the Plantronics rep via work, I was just sent a brand new DSP-500 headset http://www.plantronics.com/canada/en_US...Id=cat1200105 for free about a month ago. I love it! (I never installed the Persono software for it either - I just installed the drivers)

The DSP-500 is a little heavier than the DSP-300, but has bigger magnets so the lower frequencies are deeper and warmer. Both the DSP-300 and DSP-500 have noise-cancelling mics as well.

The build quality of these headsets is second to none. Now i'm the proud owner of both headsets!

USB is really cool as well, and you don't have to work about trying to unplug your speakers to plug in your headset.
