i use my headphones for most sound intensive games (such as cs) because the quality is better, it lessens outside intereference (family, tv, other noises), and i use them when my family is sleeping and such. i use my speakers for movies, music, and other things when i like to have bass and loud noise
yeah, if the headphones are HUGE, they dampen soudn from outside really well.

go to cpl and see how many people have dsp-500s if you want to see how worth the money they are. but then cs nation IS the website where people didnt think a good sound card was the most important thing in a poll so i suppose people dont realise how useful sound is when in cs.
i only recently switched on EAX in cs 1.6 beta, it didnt work for 1.5, 1.4. and it IS just like a wallhack, amazing.

using the USB interface for sound is a really interesting thing, ive never heard of it b4 now.

i suppose thats because the USB is capable of generating any signal possible, depending on what driver was written for it. and i wonder how much CPU load these headphones+usb sound will produce.

They are headphones, high quality ones, and they come with a microphone. Too bad you can't take it off D:

I've always wanted those big Motorola Headphones NFL coaches use, I guess this is as close as I can get...anyone have or know about any other headphones w/built in mics that are of even better quality than these? Just curious...

and your right saving 80+ from amazon makes these headphones invaluable in cs if u have any onboard sound that is not nforce2 or u have a shit soundcard, just not for me I guess since I'm already equipped. EAX=OGC

I honestly don't think any headphones get better than the Plantronics DSP-500/Audio 90. Those Motorola headsets you see that NFL sideline coaches use are based off a walkie talkie system, which is obviously not going to sound better than a headset that comes with a DSP, or even a cheap $30 one that you can plug into your PC.

Rizzuh, you should review them since you haven't done a review since the MX 500 optical mouse..

That would rule. Not just for CS, but for listening to music too. And with the kind of music I listen to (thrash/death/power metal), I'll be deaf within a few years.

I prefer the "other" official colour scheme that is everywhere: grey and dark blue.
