110 bucks for a mic and a head phone. Oh im sorry it doesnt need a sound card.
no, those arent the same headphones
to all of you people saying negative things about the dsp-500's obviously dont know how good they are. i have a pair and they are well worth the money.
lets see
i can get my sound card for $50 (sound blaster live 5.1)
and i can get my microphone (headset) for $20 (which by the way are good)
you add them togther and you get $70
now i buy the cs thing i pay 110.
i dont know i think i just saved $40 from not buying a CS microphone.Comment

I have a pair of them, and unfortunetely my mic went out on them. I'm sure i could send them to plantronics to get it fixed but i havent done it yet. But yes you can find the same head phones for half the price of 110 bucks. Thats what i did. Very high quality headphones. If you want a legal wall hack i suggest getting these.Comment

Why would I buy them? Firstly, the headphones come with a soundcard included. I need a new soundcard as mine is all jacked up and I can't play cs because both the left and right channel comes through both left and right speakers. Secondly, I love counter strike and would love to sport these boss ass headphones at a lan party. Thirdly my cheap headphones are busted up. Fourthly, people pay well over 100 dollars for a pair of shoes, I think that a piece of electronic equipment that will bring me HOURS of enjoyment, allowing me to better experience my past time is well worth 100 bucks.
if anyone buys these they deserve to die, who would pay $110 for fuckin head phones....
I could come up with a few more reasons, but you're probably too busy downloading the latest "50-cent" track, to read them.

I'm probably going to get them, my SB live 5.1 sound card is a pile of shit and on ventrilio 1 out of every 2 times i try to use it it just comes out as static on the other end and no one can hear me. I can spend 78 bux on a SB audigy and hope that i don't have the static problem associated with sound cards and mic input, or i can buy these DSP-500 on newegg for $66.Comment
