CS Headsets

Plantronics and VALVe Software have teamed up to bring you... Counter-Strike branded headsets!



Currently only one headset is branded, that is the CS DSP-500, a $110 headset pictured right. The DSP series of headset by Plantronics uses a USB-powered sound system instead of going through your sound system using those zany audio jacks.



No word on whether or not other Plantronics headsets will ever use the CS branding, but here's to hoping that they'll release an Audio .90 version (since the structure looks interchangeable anyway).



The colors represent CS' official color scheme even though it doesn't appear once in the game, on the website, or in the user interface at all. But, hey, here's a CS:CZ logo that has the colors! Apparently there are also some CS logos on the product.



I'm probably going to buy one of these because my on-board sound is so horrible, but at the same time I realize I am a tool for VALVe Software.

Way to expensive. I've never used a USB type of headphones, but I'd like to try a set out sometime.

I'm probably going to buy one of these because my on-board sound is so horrible....

Same here.. my onboard sound outputs to headphones and headsets reallllllly low. I tried using my friends plantronics headset but my CS sounded like a whisper even though the volume was jacked all the way up.

to all of you people saying negative things about the dsp-500's obviously dont know how good they are. i have a pair and they are well worth the money.
