Now thats funny, due to context, prior tothis it was just plain old ignorance.

Thats rze is a funny guy,
for a fat american honky.
abel wrote..I'm really sure you would care if you happened to be on the wrong end of those bads kids drunken flame ball of stupidity. Rules like that are set so they don't run into you and otherwise put a damper on your late night meals on wheels by killing you. Every reason you gave for them to be left out to do what ever is every reason they decided to keep you at home in your footie pajamas away from them.
Its ridiculous to say the least. An age limit of 17? I can see how they are tailoring it toward the mature rating of the game, but thats just bullshit. What reason would they have to "censor" this game from young people looking for fun (this is NOT the same as using illegal substances. those are physically harmful to ALL people). The only thing its doing is lowering the amount of profit they make off the game and also showing that some bias towards groups who can't defend themselves is okay. Thats just bullshit, we're a nation striving for equality, yet we deem it "alright" to discriminate against young people? Anyone seeing anything wrong with that?
Just tonight me and my friends (one 17, one 19 [driver], and third friend 16, like me) went to go see Pirates of the Caribbean, a showing at 9:45. When we got there, they said that we needed verification that our we were over 17 because of curfew (the movie ended after 12) Curfew? Curfew? What the hell do we need a curfew for, if our parents dont set one for us either A) they trust us or B) they aren't good parents. If B is the case and those children think its fine to go out driving stupidly after curfew, fuck em. Let em get in an accident and pay the price. Its their fault for taking the step inside that once-easily-identifiable-vehicle, now burning-pile-of-flesh-and-metal. Maybe it was fate, hell you could even argue it was survival of the smartest, but whatever it was it was their choice, don't give us that curfew bullshit because their parents didn't bring them up right.
Hell, I can understand that there are laws that prohibit people from doing things because they violate other peoples freedom.. but this law has nothing to DO with that. Its a movie, we pay to get in, afterwards we go to someones house, play a bit of poker and then go home to sleep (or browse the internet).
Sigh, maybe when I'm older I'll see some reason to this.. but for now this is just another reason to squeeze the trigger. I can't go to a movie? Okay. I can't play my favourite game? Fine. I can't change these laws now when they actually matter? Fuck that, they say we are the future? Why not treat us like we are and stop giving us this garbage. [/rant] :|
And just to stay on topic, its their fault for letting him play for them, they paid the price.. As Doffles said, alot of people made mistakes, both old and young.. everyone makes mistakes, it isn't confined to one age group.
