i find i do MUCH better in 1,6 then in 1.5 last night i played both, 1.5 first where i was at least 5-18 on all maps, then i loaded up steam and went 19-2. dunno...just seems so much easier and fluid. plus my walk button actually works in 1.6. in 1.5 if not on a lan when i hold my walk button but then hit 2 movement keys at once i just start running. i can only move in one direction and stillw alk...although it still does randomly happen in steam

Sounds like your keyboard can't hold down more than 2 buttons at once. 2 is very low.

Unfortunately, you will only find this file officially available to pay services because VALVe wants to keep the numbers of players using Steam relatively low.

The network is up for me so it is likely your firewall or router. Try the steam forums at steampowered.com.
