The Brand New Counterstrike League brought to you by GameReactor (www.gamereactor.net) and maintained by Team EON (www.team.eon.dk) has been launched.

We have worked very hard on this league for a couple of months so it could, and is the best league available. There is info on all the maps and weapons. Each registred Team/Clan will have its own info page, and to top it, there will be a info page for each player in the league. Here you can see the players e-mail, icq, favourite map, favourite weapon, rank, etc.The players can also receive medals, a little feature we have put in the league to make it more fun.

We expect to have 12 Teams/Clans in every LEague and we have started out with these Leagues: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Benelux, Great Britain, USA, Rest of Europe and Rest of World. But we will create more leagues depending on the registration of teams/clans.

To start a league it needs at least 8 teams! We hope that your Clan will join this League and be a part of the best League ever made.

Cronic sent word of a new league forming up, sounds kick ass:

Hey guys, this is |uWn|Chronic, I have started a new league, and it is located at http://hostile-arena.natoclan.com We are looking for very competitive clans who have good sportsmanship. It should kick off in the end of July, we are only taking 20 clans per division (East and West). We will have a waiting list though. It will feature playoffs, with the top 8 teams making it, and playing off, the winner of the east playoff will play the winner of the west playoff on a neutral server. We will have an admin attend playoff games, to ensure no BS goes on.

Hostile Situations is a brand new league, and they're looking for clans to join. Here's what makes this league l33t3r than the rest:

Hostile Situations is a totaly new kind of league.

Each week there will be a new scenario, a scenario consist of playing 3 maps and there is a mission to accomplish. All 3 of the maps will tie together in harmony. This is going to be more realistic than having a week to prepare for one map, and having to know ct and t, with Hostile situations you will not know the scenario till maybe 2 days before. Why you ask to add to the realism , Imagine your the ct team in real life. Do you have a week to prepare for a hostage situation, no. During the weeks match one clan is Terrorist and one is Counter-Terorist. You are probably now wondering why in the heck we would want to change this. Let us explain in more detail. Clan [A] is the CT's and clan is the T's. The first map is de_dust. The terrorists are trying to bomb government equipment stationed in a remote desert location. If the CT's win the Terrorists are forced to retreat to their remote hideout where they are holding hostages cs_siege. If the T's win they advance inside the hidden desert base to bomb everything de_prodigy. If a team wins 2 rounds they are victorious overall. If CT's win and then lose the T's get another shot on de_dust to blow up the equipment. If T's win and then lose they are automatically forced onto cs_siege because they are on the run. If you want new and exciting teamplay and realism, we have the league for you!

With all the leagues closing, it's encouraging to have a new league open up. It uses an interesting system, so hopefully they can rid of most cheaters. Here's the newsbit:

Respected Online Counter-Strike Clan "The Apocalypse Riders" Announce New Professional League Dubbed 'Legit Clans Invitational'



The Apocalypse Riders ([TAR]), headed by long-time player and leader Raven, has announced the culmination of a new professional online Counter-Strike league that will highlight on respect, honor, and truth to produce a fair, challenging environment that is free from any paranoia of cheating. Dubbed the Legit Clans Invitational, the league hopes to create something dynamic that will secure the future of online play by instituting a unique method of 'sponsorship' that hopes to keep clans in check to cut down the probability of cheating.



"Each clan that comes in goes through a screening process," commented co-Admin [TAR]Raven, "which includes finding two legitimate clan sponsors that will take responsibilities for your actions. Therefore, if any clan is found guilty of cheating, they will be removed from the LCI along with their two sponsors. This will help promote a fair environment to play in and provides each clan with a good reason NOT to cheat."



Other interesting implementations will be available on launch: free server rental, consistently monitored forums and chat, and real-time stat tracking, match results and rankings.
