It's not anonymity, it's dislocation. Everyone's so far away from everyone else that nothing can really be done to affect that person's real life.

Prob because anyone can run it on any PC (not to mention HL is dirt cheap now) it invites kids to come and play it. We've had 12 year olds playing :/



Not to mention anyone I use to know with any skills and were a good laugh to be around left for other game because they got bored (abusive children, poor maps in default rotations, arsing about with weapons/gameplay etc). Not to forget to mention: Remember CS has been around for... 5 years?!

steam seams to be updating again. that or the network is down. steam says it's "updating platform" but i played the new update last night...anyway it says it's updating then disappears..and i cant connect.



i figured it out. the steam update screwed up my winXP clock. it said it was tomorrow. when i fixed the date it connected and updated. this happened last update too.

Not necessarily true. If people were required to give out their real names and their exact location before saying anything, then they would think twice before saying anything stupid. Why? Because odds are, there are quite a few people likely in the same city as the fool. I've talked to people who happened to live in the same area as me without knowing it until later. Small world?



Added later: I already did. I read your post and checked my calendar on Win 98 SE. It's the right date. I have a feeling the status pages are outdated and thus the content servers are crammed right now.

Also for those who haven't found it yet, your crosshair color options are not limited to what is in the menu. You can use cl_crosshair_color "X X X" to choose whichever color you like. I.E. cl_crosshair_color "255 255 255" would give a user white crosshairs.

That's just it, it hasn't. Some moron goes and says "Hey guys the AK is less accurate now!" and then some other moron goes into CS (not knowing shit all anyway) and THINKS he notices that it is less accurate and soon it spreads around like a fucking virus that the AK is changed.

Hell the last big update, bastards like that even had CSNation suckered. As I recall the news update mentioned that the tmp and mac10 were changed, and of course, they weren't (was taken off later). It's the same bullshit that makes people think playing left handed makes them better or that 640x480 has bigger models.
