It's not. Only CZ users will see the new models in CS, not everyone.

I started playing this game/mod in the summer of 1999, and now 5 years later when I hardly play it anymore they are still "fixing" things like hitboxes and crosshair.. I mean come'on, might be good updates, but it's really years to late guys!



Just wanted to vent this, I don't really play CS anymore but I still follow what's going on with it since I'm waiting for HL2 & CS:S etc.. In the meantime I enjoy UT2004 etc.. :)

Steam can't revolve around a third party league, however Steam should reconsider the time of the updates. They should update them in the wee hours of the morning. I know this is impossible to be ideal for everyone in the world but since everything is based here in the states, the time should be ideal for the states.

EDIT: Maybe people will get used to the new models from CZ. I hope I will. I wonder if it was pointed out before that CS already has r_detailtextures CVAR implemented (though I don't think the maps are updated with them yet). Things look like being implemented towards improving the look of the thing; many non-players must be put off because CS almost looks as old as it actually is.



I just hope I don't get an average of 60fps...

if they put in an option to have old cs models or new CZ ritual models, then they would have to have some way to change the VGUI pics when you change from one model pack to the other.

why did you buy CZ? here's why.



you have hostages that look and act much cooler than the meat-shield in 1.6 that almost never make it to the rescue zone before being gunned down by T's or frustrated CTs.



you have new and updated maps that look amazing.



you have the location system which is a great feature that i have a feeling we're (1.6 people) not going to get.



you have new models. for players and weapons.



you have better quality sound effects.



you have deleted scenes, you have bots.



you get updated first :) with more stuff.



i'm missing stuff i know, but thats all i can think of off the top of my head. i still dont see why you people complain, think about this: is the amount you've enjoyed CZ thus far been worth ... about 4 hours of work? its not a lot of money guys.



anyway, its a sunk cost, you can't change it, and obviousy its silly to play it to try to "get your money's worth" if you don't enjoy it. if you don't enjoy CZ then that's the ony reason you should be complaining.

If you buy CZ, you get the models in normal CS.

saw this on steampowered dont know if it works. get the normal models back if you want.

CZ was originally supposed to be single-player CS, and nothing more than that!

Be grateful you get any multiplayer updates at all; it's extremely irritating to see it become an entirely different game, personally.

You should've known in the first place what CZ was intended for. Now that it's extended beyond its original boundaries, there's no need for you to complain.

For that matter, CS players were supposed to be able to play with CZ players. Looks like they screwed up on that one also.
